A WORD FROM OUR CAPTAINS

Stoked to be the captain of Team Supreme Court for the first season of the MTPL. Second only to long walks on the beach and bubble baths, doubles leagues are my favorite past time, add into the mix a killer format and prize money for some of the GTA’s best players and what do you get? High octane doubles that will change the face of league tennis in Canada…

Alastair Millar, Team Supreme Court Captain

… Looking forward to the league finals on December 15th, where you’ll see me with a beer in one hand and a championship trophy in the other!

Alastair Millar, Team Supreme Court Captain

I can’t believe the amazing opportunity I’ve been given to be a captain for the coolest league ever – MTPL!  It will be a an awesome experience to watch my players dominate the other teams for the inaugural season of this super indoor league hosted by the various Mayfair Clubs. Yes, obviously, we will be celebrating on December 15th with a championship…

Michael Emmett, Team Authentic Asset Management Captain

… forget holding the trophy – I’ve already got the T-shirts and ball caps made indicating our one-sided victory. In fact, I’m so confident on the repeat that I’ve got the same folks working on paraphernalia with the words “Not only 2017 champions, but also 2018 Champions!”

You are not going to find higher caliber competition in Toronto, than at the Mayfair Pro League. It’s literally the best 48 players in Toronto just shy of Denis Shapovalov, Daniel Nestor, and Milos Raonic. If you’re looking to watch pro tennis, this is the place to be in Toronto on Friday nights.  OTA Juniors – I never lost to Al Millar then and I’m not going to lose to him now. Let’s go!!!!

Kevin McLaughlin, Owner, Team Wingfield

Mayfair is a great club and this is a great event. We have people on our team aged 14 to 54 and above. It’s a great chance to get people of all ages and talent together to have a great deal of fun for the next three months playing tennis. We are going to be winning all the matches because we have the best players on our roster. We are happy to be first!

Duncan Webster, Owner of Team Authentic Asset Management

The level is really good. There are a lot of ex-NCAA and pro players here. I’m one for two now. There are no easy matches here. It’s pretty tough!
